Pants Fitting Basics
Making pants isn’t hard, but getting them to fit is a process. Once you have your basic pattern made, it’s easy to change the style by choosing different construction details like pockets, leg lengths and widths, waistbands, and pleats. Use your basic pants patterns to make knit or woven pants—you are the designer. A private measuring session will be scheduled before the first class. The class size will be limited to only eight students. The first class is a lecture/demo to show you how to prepare your pattern and make common alterations. Make your fitting muslin at home, then the second class will show you how to make your changes and transfer them to your pattern. This class will be a prerequisite for the Jeans Class.
