Quilt As You Go: Building Blocks & Quilting in the Hoop 06/10/2023 10:00 - 3:00 PM

Piecing and quilting in the hoop is easy to do, but what about applying the basic principles to quilt your blocks as you go and join them to make a whole quilt? What about taking a basic pieced in the hoop block and designing your own custom quilting for it?? Do you have a hard time joining the individual blocks with smooth transitions? The possibilities are endless!! In this class, you will make a pillow or small table topper all in the hoop. You will join the blocks on your sewing machine. Techniques that will be demonstrated include adding sashing and borders that have been quilted in the hoop, stabilizer options, hooping alternatives, and how to design your own projects in optional software. Students will make their Building Blocks with OESD designs. Quilting designs for the blocks will be shared by the instructor. We will discuss how to pre-cut your shapes using a digital cutter and so much more!!! Even if you have never done Quilt As You Go Projects, you will see how easy it is and what professional results you can achieve.
