The idea is to divert materials from the landfill, giving them a new purpose. Today we share our favorite tips, tutorials and projects for upcycling sewing projects.
First, train your eye to see the potential in items before you discard them, and create a space in your sewing room where you can store them for upcycling projects. Old clothes and sheets are definitely at the top of the list for materials to save and reuse, but don’t be afraid to think outside the box: coats, curtains, neckties and even plastic bags can be turned into something new and wonderful!
